Bonding Fasteners - Introduction
Bonding Fasteners were originally designed to provide a strong load-spreading
anchor in plastic, GRP and laminated products, but have found a host of other
uses where conventional fasteners cannot meet the requirements. They can be
bonded into the substrate or alternatively can be surface-mounted to most
materials by means of adhesives or mechanical fasteners such as screws, rivets
or nails.
Each part consists of a Stud or Female Thread welded to a perforated Base Plate.
There are 4 basic standard Thread/Stud Forms: (shown here welded to a typical
Base Plate)

These are combined with any one of the following Base Plates:

Other base plates available are:
19mm Round 15mm Square 38 x 19 Rectangular
32mm Round 30mm Square 38 x 76 Rectangular
50mm Round 50mm Square
76mm Round
Base Plates with female threads can be manufactured either open or closed to
suit the application. Male plain stud types can be used with various types of
Push-on Fasteners. Contact us for details.
The following pages show the most popular combinations but, subject to minimum
order quantities, we can supply any variation and length of stud and the base
plates above, including the thread/stud mounted horizontally onto the base
plate. If you require a combination that is not included in the following pages,
please contact our Sales Office.
All the above types are Zinc Plated Mild Steel as standard.
316 Stainless Steel is also available to special order.
