T-Nut Insertion Machines helped Ashley Manor to the number two slot.

Ashley Manor was founded in 1993 and has grown to be the second-largest sofa group in the UK. At first, they imported components with T-Nuts already inserted and assembled them in the UK. Then they moved to set up their own sofa frame shop.

They now have four T-Nut Insertion Machines across two sites. Three machines are bowl-fed for high volume applications and one uses a strip-feed system. Over the last 12 months, these machines have inserted over 1 million T-Nuts across a range of sizes to suit various applications within the frame build.

The production team say “Rivet T-Nuts make the production process easier. Inserting a T-Nut is five times quicker with an insertion machine and each sofa arm uses five T-Nuts. They give us a massive labour saving; we couldn’t do the job without them. The benefits far outweigh the cost.”

Ashley Manor did have a problem with nuts splitting when an operator had turned up the machine pressure too high and called JET PRESS. “Kurt (the JET PRESS Technician) came straight over.” Said Ashley Manor. “He recalibrated the machine and told us not to mess with it and we haven’t had a problem since.” Ashley Manor have never had any accidents involving any of their T-Nut Insertion Machines.
