These Self-Threading Nuts form their own thread on plastic, die cast or mild steel studs. The thread-forming displaces material without producing swarf. They are removable and reusable. Self Threading Nuts have a low height and small exterior dimensions so they are ideal where space is restricted. Where there is insufficient clearance for standard tools, a special internal hex wrench can be used.
Typical applications include conveyors, plastic bosses, toys, motor vehicles, domestic appliances and audio equipment.
