Andrea and Michelle Step Up

Two of the most experienced members of the JET PRESS Materials team have been promoted. Andrea Spencer is now the Purchasing Team Leader and Michelle Bools is our new Strategic Buyer.
Andrea the Trouble Shooter
With business growing and two new recruits to the Materials Team, Andrea will be on hand to deal with any issues that arise day to day. She will still be responsible for several suppliers but the promotion will give her more time to support the team and make sure any potential problems are resolved quickly.
Andrea is German and her first jobs were in the hotel industry. Later she ran pubs in Germany with her British husband who brought her over to the UK in 2001. In 2005 Andrea took a temporary job at JET PRESS providing maternity cover in Export and she has never left. Outside work she enjoys gardening and touring around Britain in her caravan. Her motto is “any day without coffee and cake is a lost day”.
Making sure new products are oven ready
Michelle will be responsible for making sure the time from identifying a new product to being able to supply it to our customers is as short as possible. This is a complex process that involves working with every department in JET PRESS. Everything from bin locations and weights to quantities and delivery methods must be sorted out before customers can order new parts.
Michelle also works closely with Sales to respond to the changing needs of existing customers and with Marketing to explore potential new markets. Her current project is to extend the range of Heyco products we can offer our customers.
In 2016 Michelle was diagnosed with breast cancer. She took a year out from work and says “JET PRESS are like family. The care and support I got during my illness was simply amazing.” Michelle also says since she has come back with fresh eyes, she is constantly looking for new product ideas and service improvements.
