Diane Gill - JET PRESS Through and Through

The JET PRESS family are celebrating the outstanding contribution that Diane Gill has made to our business over the past 35 years.
This tremendous milestone was achieved on 22nd April 2020 and she leads the way for long service in a business which prides itself on having a strong team environment where people stay and flourish.
This has certainly been the case for Diane, being one of the original team members way back in 1985, resulting from a meeting about new premises, between our first MD, Barry Perry, and Diane’s father, who at the time was working for Nottinghamshire County Council.
They got talking, Barry was looking for staff, and so Diane applied and secured a role in Telesales, and as the saying goes ‘the rest is history’. Diane used her intelligence and developed her skills to become Customer Service Manager in 1989, growing her knowledge and experience of the wider business, leading in 1998, to her accepting an opportunity to manage and develop the Purchasing Team, where she continues to deliver her excellent service to customers, suppliers and colleagues.

Being part of a new company from its inception was both exciting and challenging. I think that coming from an engineering family background and always being interested in how things worked, definitely helped me to develop in my various roles over the years.
To have worked for one company for 35 years is also testimony to JET PRESS as a great employer. Hard work and loyalty are very important to me and I think the management have always recognised that.
It's been very enjoyable and I'm proud to still be contributing to JET PRESS's ongoing success.
In these very difficult and unprecedented times, the importance of family and close relationships are foremost in our minds. Diane’s JET PRESS story is a great example of how the security and enjoyment which is found with being part of the JET PRESS family underlines why we are a strong company delivering the highest levels of service to our stakeholders.
