Say Guten Tag to David Rickers

After a long search we have found the ideal person for our Export Sales Manager role. David Rickers joined us a few weeks ago. Despite the difficult situation he has settled into his role at JET PRESS very quickly.
David has joint British and German nationality and is fluent in German and English. He has recently moved to the UK from Germany’s second city Hamburg. He has a degree in Logistics and Trade from University Fresenius in Hamburg. Fresenius specialises in applied sciences. Before his degree David took an Apprenticeship as a merchant in wholesale and foreign trade.
Most of David’s work experience has been with MERCATUS Rickers & Timmermann. He was responsible for processing orders, including communication with suppliers, customers and logistics companies. He was also responsible for customer management, preparation of quotes along with sales and customer service at national and international trade fairs.
As a member of the growing team in JET PRESS who are focused on export. David will be getting in touch with existing customers and looking for new companies who need engineered fasteners, components, industrial hardware and products and components in the furniture industry.
Beyond the workplace
David has the travel bug. He likes to visit new places and experience different foods and unfamiliar ways to enjoy life. In 2013 David worked on a social project helping underprivileged children in Vanuatu. A pacific island over 1,000 miles east of Australia.
With his interest in football, David will certainly fit in at JET PRESS. As well as playing, he supports the Red Shorts, Hamburger Sport-Verein.
